The magazzu Joseph Doria Connection

Yes, there is a connection between the disgraced Corzine cabinet member Joseph Doria and Lou Magazzu:

BRIDGETON — Cumberland County has been awarded a $300,000 grant from the state Department of Community Affairs to hire a full-time shared services coordinator.

The coordinator will pursue projects in which municipalities pool their resources in Cumberland County and projects in which other counties share their resources with Cumberland County, according to Freeholder Director Lou Magazzu, who accepted an oversized check Monday from DCA Commissioner Joseph Doria Jr.

The news is rife with stories of corruption that permeates North Jersey. it is interesting that only one scumbag Republican was nabbed in this interstate sting that included the illegal trafficking of human organs, money laundering and bribes. The FBI had this to say about the Democrat controlled state:

New Jersey‘s corruption problem is one of the worst, if not the worst, in the nation,” said Ed Kahrer, who heads the FBI’s white-collar and public corruption division. “Corruption is a cancer that is destroying the core values of this state.”

It is disheartening to see North Jersey corrupt money filtered into Cumberland County. It is bad enough that Cumberland County has been bought lock, stock and barrel by the corrupt Camden County Norcross machine, but to see the tentacles from Newark, Bayonne and Jersey city wrapping around our county is inexcusable.

So let me get this straight DumbEverywhere, because Cumberland County received state money from the DCA like every other county receives annually and because the current Commissioner of DCA may have some involvement although he has not been charged with any wrong doing, Magazzu and everyone in Cumberland County govt. is corrupt? Quite a stretch even from a lyer and distorter of truth like you. EVERY County and most miniciplaities worth their salt including Millville (your home) in the state receives DCA money almost annually. Guess everyone in the entire state is corrupt because they received money from DCA. According to your idiotic thinking even little old Shiloh borough and Hopewell and Stow Creek and Greenwich are corrupt? All of the County Republican strongholds. You are nothing more than plain stupid and pure partisan with your warped thinking. Must have drank the arsenic in Union Lake. Guess according to you that was also Magazzu’s fault. You continue to make this nothing more than a republican website with your constant rantings about Democrats. Wait till those hard working committee people in Hopewell, Shiloh. Greenwich, and Stow Creek find ou they are crooks according to you Dumb Everywhere!

Yes, some might be partison Republicans but as a Democrat its pretty depressessing and I KNOW Christie is not gonna be a panacia. EVERY insider BENEFITS from this systemic corruption mechence called NJ politics. Its a Bi-Partison problem. Lou dealing with the Camden political bunch is not healthy. To get money like the Norcross bunch is gonna cost us in Cumberland County. Dems AND Reps like this stupid political culture cause it benefits them ALL. I wish I could work part-time and make 50K with all the perks afforded our legislature.

Totally in agreement with Slap and his comments. Finally a voice of reason, hope Eyes someday sees the light. However the DCA giving grants to a zillion municipalities over the years is part of their mission. Don’t think tarnishing Magazzu for just being Director at the timw when the DCA gives us back some of our tax money is fair or even relevant. Aside from the fact that Doria may have done something wrong then he should be treated to the full extent of the law. The DCA has given money to all municipalities both Republican and Dems under all Governors. That doesn’t translate into every elected official in every town who was in office and received DCA funds is corrupt or even doing anything questionable, Most towns try hard to get their residents these grants on a competetive basis for the benefit of their town and to get a few bucks back from the state of their tax dollar. If anything Magazzu and the entire Freeholder Board and the employees should be thanked for working hard to receive this grant money, certainly not condemned as if they are corrupt. Open up your eyes Blind One. Don’t let your personal hatred of Magazzu blind you from the truth!

Have to agree with Knot Head on this one (his conclusion not the way he says it.) Not a fair criticism of Lord Lou to say the county received money from DCA.
