Yesterday was the second annual Millville Arts and Antiques Festival. A good time was had by all. I saw Lou and lil bro’ Mikey walking up and down High Street. You could almost see the trail of slime they left behind them, sort of like the ick that slugs leave on my front porch near the planters.
The Independent leaders had a tent. My girl friend Liz donated a painting to their cause to be given away in a drawing.
Speaking of drawing, they had a table set up with colored pens and paper, asking people to sit down and create a campaign slogan. Some of the good slogans included gems such as:
Every county in the nation rejected Lou, How about you? -and-
Don’t be a Lou-ser, vote Independent Leaders. -and-
Stop Government Abuse – Vote Jane, Jennifer and Bruce!
Darn it, I had to miss out. I was working a booth down the street. Way to go!
Now THERE’S a GREAT idea for this site – Let’s have a contest! Since tryagain likes bumper stickers, why not a contest to create a slogan for a bumper sticker? Tryagain will be happy (for a short time) and we can help the Independents and the Republicans in their campaigns. After all, a day without Maggots is like a day without Lou.
Hey, that’s not bad. I want to enter that one –
A Day WITHOUT Maggots is LIke a Day Without Lou.
Great idea WL – Here’s my contribution:
