More About Royal Printing – $65,620 NO BID CONTRACT

Royal Printing contributes thousands of dollars to the state Democratic Committee and to various democratic candidates.  Cumberland County Freeholder resolution 2008-112 (Feb.28,2008) gives a no bid contract to Royal Printing to print our election ballots for $65,620.00.  The contract was renewed by res. 2009-166 .

Once again we have to ask why Lou Magazzu is sending Cumberland County dollars out of state? We have plenty of good printing companies in the county. Whose pocket is Lou lining with our tax money? We have the right to know. We have the right to change this in November.

STOP sending our tax dollars out of county! Why are we the poorest county in the state? We can prove that Lou is doing NOTHING to turn this trend around! your tax dollars are merely ways for Lou to purchase political favors.

  1. DUMP the Maggot says:

The ballots USED to be printed in Bridgeton by a very reputable printer…..

Of course, he happens to be a Republican

    VERY interesting, no?

  2. biggassbass says:

Yes, the same B.S from Lou. Will any member of the press report this?????

  3. Not only are we sending our tax dollars to North Jersey, we have to be spending a ton of cash to ship the ballots. This is just bad business all around.

Local businesses must act now to keep our money in our county! Even if you are a stalwart Democrat, this news has got to make you mad!

We are the poorest county with the highest unemployment, and Lou Magazzu is shipping jobs to North Jersey!

  4. Sell me a bridge says:

Bass – that’s really not fair to Jim Henson’s memory, the Muppets are cute and cuddly creatures. Besides I don’t think Elmo would be tickled if he knew you lumped him in with that group.

  5. biggassbass says:

I am so sorry. Please excuse my improper use of the muppets…puppets…puppies..would be better. Thanks

  6. fancypants says:

Didn’t Lou use Standard Publishing on the Boulevard for some event. Low price and 1/2 off for in kind contribution. So I guess it’s throw a small bone to the locals for no profit and serve the steak to the outsiders.

  7. fancypants says:

Did Gloria bid the Contract or seek other prices? Oh right, she was too busy campaigning. ( weddings, funerals, barbecues….)

  8. Why would Gloria willingly use a company that ONLY donates to Democrats, and is involved in pay-to-play scandals in exchange for no-bid contracts from Democrat controlled counties?

It was the Freeholders under Lou who wrote the resolution and approved the resolution to give a $60,000 no-bid contract as a favor to this North Jersey company.

  9. Guess-Who says:

This NEXT week is going to be very interesting IF more & more Develops from this.

Why would Cumberland County use a firm located in North Jersey to do this Printing?

Who Found/Suggested this Company for Cumberland County IF it was a NO-BID Contract?

    Why did lou use this same Company as He PAID $5,553.63 on 8-12-09 for (Brochures) from them;
    in his FAILED NACo bid.
(He could NOT even get a Motion for the Nomination of 2nd Vice Prez of NACo and QUIT the Race for this seat on the Non-Profit Org. Board where he Raised over $81,000 from the People & Businesses u see to the right on this Page)!

What are the REASON[S] that a Local Printing Firm was NOT considered for the County Work?

When will the Community as a Whole begin to understand WHY this County IS the POOREST in NJ.

It is the current Freeholders that are in CONTROL of the County Funds & these same Individuals are going to be Held ACCOUNTABLE/RESPONSIBLE for WASTING Tax-Payers Money!

Your VOTE on Nov 3 will send this crue Packing & Quacking into a LAME DUCK Session!

Circle the the Date on the Calender & Remind your Family & Friends to let their Voice be Heard LOUD & CLEAR without a Word ever being Said.

Checks & Balance make the County a Better Place

Did you ever stop for one minute to think that the printing of the ballots is the responsiblity of the COUNTY CLERK and that the Freeholders just approve payment of the bills? DUH! Greedy Gloria used her guy in the past and either he or she screwed up and had to redo the job. Greedy Gloria has a long laundry list of mistakes to the point that I think I remember a Judge making reference to her mistakes as “unexcusable neglect”. Pretty harsh words even fro a Judge? Once again a half as_ story from the Crap website. Can’t you ever get it right just once before the elcetion that MAGAZZU WINS??!!! RE-ELECT MAGAZZUA AND CO. SEND GREEDY GLORIA TO HER PALATIAL SUMMER HOME FOR A WELL DESERVED, BUT PERMANANT RETIREMENT!!

  11. Sell me a bridge says:

Here we go again with Tryagain launching into attack mode. Deflect, deflect, deflect. The freeholder board motioned, seconded and voted on the contract, not Noto.

Rather than doing whatever you can to deflect attention away from the real issues perhaps you should show your support of Magazzu by starting a legal defense fund for him. He’s going to need it when the AG’s office comes down and does their investigation.

  12. Curious says:

Campaign contributions from a no bid contractor from North Jersey. What happened to hiring local?
That used to be Magazzu’s mantra.
Does he or the Dem party owe a local printer from Vineland $30,0000.00 for long past campaigns?
So we spend tax money out of county and stiff our local businesses? No wonder we are so poor.

  13. Sell me a bridge says:

He’d rather hire printers that other clients of Angelo Genova used (think recently arrested Lou Manzo who was once a Genova client). Just another Hudson County connection.

  14. tryagain1 says:

Printing of ballots is under the control of the COUNTY CLERK not the Freeholder Board. Check your facts ONCE!! They then have to pay the bill for Miss Gloria. That is my understanding! She used to use a local printer but after numerous and costly mistakes that were well documented and reported in the local papers. Think I remember reading that company no longer desired to do the printing. Just another senseless case of this CRAP site engaging in Magazzu bashing. Rain expected today must be Lou’s fault, at least according to this idiotic site!! RE-ELECT MAGAZZU AND CO. TOUGH LEADERS FOR TOUGH TIMES!!

  15. fancypants says:

    tryagain1 Says:
“Think I remember reading that company no longer desired to do the printing.”

What was the name of that company?

  16. tryagain1 says:

Could have been something like Jimprint. Think it was in the Bridgeton area!

  17. tryagain1 says:

Whatever it was I remember some mistakes that apparently were either the Clerk’s office under Greedy Gloria or the printer. Seems I remember them balming each other and think maybe it happened more than once?

  18. Curious says:

Does cryagain still owe $30,000 to a Vineland printing firm?
No wonder our local companies are hurting.
Can it be our leaders aka the Maggot think it is OK to stiff our small businesses?
    Real pricks for tough times.

  19. WUU59X says:

Lou Magazzu and his buddy Doug don’t believe in paying their bills for printing or anything else. Ask around and it will become evident that they are nothing but Users/

  20. Byelou says:

Please re-run this article for Cumberland County residents. It’s a prime example of Lou Magazzu’s
impotence as a politician. What leadership? What clout?
