Veteran’s Chapel passes

“Patriotism is the last refuge of the scoundrel.”
~Samuel Johnson

Last night, amidst heavy debate, the Freeholder board approved the controversial chapel.

Freeholder Director Lou Magazzu began his comments by playing the first five minutes of the Steven Spielberg film “Saving Private Ryan,” portraying the D-Day landing at Omaha Beach, on a projector screen, though without sound.

Wrapping himself in the flag of patriotism, Lou orated about “being morally right”, morality being one topic that he should take a refresher course on for himself. We will watch what happens in the coming year, as this project progresses. We will be the first to report about the costs of extending water and sewer to this end of the township, the ulterior reason for this project.

One Response to Veteran’s Chapel passes

This guy is such a phoney blowhard. It almsot sickens one to hear him saying he is doing it for Veterans. The only person Magazzu has ever done anything for is himself! Can’t this guy just please leave Cumberland County? What a self serving speech about how great he is and how much he has done for the County. Unbelievable!! Good Bye and stay gone Magazzu!
