Breaking News – but you heard it here first!
From the Press of Atlantic City:
Louis Magazzu said tonight he won’t seek re-election as chairman of Cumberland County’s Democratic organization.
Magazzu said wants to concentrate on his current position as president of the National Democratic County Officials organization, which would take time away from his duties as county chairman.
Magazzu, an attorney from Vineland, said Democrats have won 70 percent of their elections under his watch.
However, Democrats have also lost their 7-0 hold on the freeholder board during his chairmanship. The party now holds a slim 4-3 majority on the board.
