The media circus begins

The Associated Press has picked up the story:

One of Cumberland County’s most influential politicians, Louis N. Magazzu, is using an attorney to fight a political activist who is behind a website posting embarrassing photos and emails from a cyber-affair Magazzu admits to having while married.

NBC 10 takes a little more sensational view with a headline: NJ Lawmaker Pulls a Weiner. The article also uses one of the photos.

I certainly believe Magazzu has admitted to a crime of transmitting pornographic pictures via the cell phone or online. I am almost certain that criminal statutes are on the books that govern this type of crime. If anything the guy should be charged criminally for violationg criminal statutes.

  2. WuLi says:

I don’t believe that his transmitting images of himself to another consenting adult is criminal – if she was underage, that would be a different story. No criminal action occurred, unless he used county resources to expedite any of these personal affairs.

My main beef is that this sort of activity displays a severe lack of judgment on his part.

Suddenly the media’s stance of being “too good” for this kind of story is out the window, isn’t it?

  4. Hang 'em High says:

AT LAST !!!!!!! Now we can ALL move forward positively.

  5. Wuli he states he never met her? Why would she look for him if he never met her? I believe someone should set the record straight.
