The Atlantic City Press just released this story:
Cumberland County’s warden has ordered more reviews of employee work records following last week’s arrest of two staff members in an alleged work-sheet doctoring scheme.
Robert Balicki said the system will include duplicative reviews of all regular and overtime documents in his Department of Corrections. Balicki said his staff is currently developing the new policies, and he wants them in place as soon as possible.
While I will laud Balicki for taking this action, it is a sad commentary on the overall Democratic leadership of Cumberland County that it took articles on Magazzu Watch coupled with arrests at the County Juvenile Detention Center to have something as basic as effective time-clock management policies in place.
